In recent years, the use of UAVs has acquired increasing interest even for simple aerial surveillance and monitoring activities, collecting aerial shots continuously over time and thus supporting the use of larger and more expensive aircraft, such as helicopters and ultralight.
For these specific applications it is necessary to ensure continuous power supply to the drone through the use of so-called “tethered” ground power stations and thus freeing from the finite autonomy of the on board UAV batteries. Thanks to its long experience in the remote piloted systems market, Eurolink Systems also stands in the latter context, thanks to the new partnership acquired with ELISTAIR, a European supplier of tethered power stations for drones.
This partnership will facilitate the use of multi-rotor UAVs for operations where continuous aerial monitoring at heights greater than 30m is required, such as surveillance of critical areas, traffic control or fire protection. Eurolink Systems, already a high value-added distributor of professional multirotor drones (such as the Enterprise DJI series), will provide its customers with specialized technical advice on ELISTAIR products, providing ad-hoc training for the optimal use of stations throughout the Italian territory.
