The ‘PARADISE’ project

Eurolink Systems is currently working on the research project called “PARADISE”, financed by Regione Lazio, together with other companies and the Università degli Studi di Roma Tre and Tuscia universities. The focus of the project is to analyze the status of agricultural crops and apricot trees, using sensors. Eurolink Systems will design a specific autonomous high performance UAV with multispectral sensor, and will also design a ROS based software interface on board of the drone. The ROS framework makes the dialogue between a swarm of cooperating unmanned platforms possible through a standard interface. The ROS interface on board of the UAV exchanges info related to telemetry, sensors data, controls sent by the ground control station to the autopilot. One of the project objectives is to design a scalable open platform reusable in different applications.
