Mini-robots are unmanned devices of small size, with two wheels or with multiple mechanical “legs” (spider robots), often used as development platforms in the scientific field or for remote monitoring. Some application contexts in which they could be involved are autonomous patrolling, remote sensing, manipulation of small objects (or other direct physical interactions with the surrounding environment), development of algorithms for human-machine interaction or for object recognition or even autonomous navigation etc.

Their weight does not exceed 7 kg (excluding payload), while they do not exceed 46 cm in the longest dimension (between width and length). The nominal autonomy of the mini-robots varies from 2 to 3 hours (depending on the model), with the possibility of optionally extending it up to 6/8 hours. Most of them are equipped with a color camera (mostly PTZ), two-way audio, 802.11 WiFi communication module, anti-collision sensors, human movement sensor and color LCD display, with the possibility of integrating sensors as required additional, such as temperature sensors, acoustic sensors, acceleration / tilt sensors etc. In addition, some mini-robot models have mechanical arms for handling small objects or a Head Animated System.

Included in the supply of the drone, controller, charging system and software tool for the development of customized applications are included.
